A Money ChatThis report covers the 2007 fiscal year. Income Sources During 2007 Sun City Anthem Computer Club received its income from four sources. These amounts are:
In addition, $22,138, was carried over to 2008; $11,764 of which was Reserves for replacing equipment. Who approves the budget? You, the members, are encouraged to attend the general meeting in November to vote on the budget for each following calendar year and to elect new officers, as you did this November for calendar year 2008. Also, attend special general meetings called during the year to approve large purchases not in the initial budget. No-cost items? Let me first say where the money does not go! No member is paid for volunteer work. Many members volunteer their time and talent to teach or aid teachers, to monitor an open lab, update/maintain the membership data base, to serve on the board, or to provide in-home help (House Calls); e.g., tutoring, setting up computer, and eliminating viruses and worms, replacing hardware components (approximately 9,000 hours). Please thank them! All classes are free to members. During open lab sessions, members may use equipment such as a computer, copier, or fax machine. This equipment is for members personal business only. And, we do request members to limit printing to 10 pages.
